Windsocks
We all know windsocks improve safety when setting up a landing. Particularly in areas like Corryong where on good flying days it's often difficult to predict wind strength or direction on
the ground. May pilots in the Eastern states will know the ubiquitious 'walkonair.com.au' orange windsock. These were sourced by our very own HG Comps President Tracey Meyer in 2008. Most of the original consignment of 1000 units are gone now. They were initially sold but most were given away at competitions over the years.
HG Comps are now considering purchasing another consignment of windsocks and looking for a partner(s) to sponsor the purchase. If you know of a business or state association that would like their name on a windsock in every launch or landing zone then get in touch
